Not everything starts in the same place.

It begins with a market opportunity.

Sometimes a problem is simply worth solving because people need it and are willing to pay for it.

1x0x is where I give that kind of work room to grow. It does not need to carry a larger philosophy or social mission. If it is useful, sustainable, and creates genuine value, that can be enough.

It begins with a question about how we live.

Onmibi is where many of my longer-term questions find a home: how we live, learn, cooperate, make choices, and use the capabilities we are gaining.

Technology is part of that conversation, but so are our relationships with one another, other forms of life, and the world we share.

The question underneath it is simple, even if the answers are not:

How do we become more capable without losing what makes life worth living?

It begins with someone else’s idea or problem.

This is where I step into someone else’s world.

They bring their experience, perspective, problem, and ambition. I bring mine, along with whatever product, technical, and problem-solving ability might help.

The interesting part is not only what gets built. Working closely with another person usually leaves both of us seeing the problem — and sometimes the world — a little differently.

We do not need to share the same philosophy to do meaningful work together.
